UNL researchers advance Soil Health Cycle concept

Inspired by an extension event survey comment, Dr. Bijesh Maharjan, Associate Professor & Extension Specialist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Panhandle Research, Extension, and Education Center, conceptualized the soil health cycle (SHC) as an iterative soil health management cycle to achieve agricultural sustainability.

Eight Badgers to go to NSAA State

The Badgers are sending eight athletes to the 2024 NSAA State Track meet at Burke Stadium May 17-18. Sophomore Isaac Cronin led the Badgers with 30 points at the C-5 Districts, earning a gold in the High Jump, 6’ 3”; 110M Hurdles, 15.68 SR; and 300M Hurdles, 41.14 SR.

The mobile will start at 5:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and please use the north entrance.

West 4th Street in Valentine Project

May 3, 2024, Ainsworth — The West 4th Street, in Valentine Project has been awarded to Prime Contractor Paulsen Inc., of Cozad, NE and is scheduled to be constructed in 2025. This 0.74 mile project is located on highway US-83 in Cherry County.

In the mid 1970s I was working as a night supervisor at a local grocery store in Corpus Christi, TX trying to pay for college. I didn’t really like the job, but it paid well and fit my schedule. The store was in an affluent part of town, just off a boulevard that ran adjacent to Corpus Christi Bay.
